Despite being announced to the world over 6 years ago, Nakheel’s Palm Jumeirah Island has still managed to remain in the spot light all this time, and has obtained an international following for its unique and interesting design. The development sold out almost instantaneously when launched, but does this mean you have missed your chance to get in on the party? Not necessarily, as you are still able to buy any available property that makes onto the secondary market, all be it at a higher cost than the original prices. Whether it is a Villa, apartment or a town house you are looking after, you are still able to purchase real estate here if you wish.
Some property is easier to obtain than others however. There are generally a wide variety of apartments on the market from which you can choose, with only penthouses beings somewhat limited here. Garden villas are also not uncommon on the secondary market, but townhouses are not quite so easy to obtain and Signature Villas present even more of a challenge. But if you choose a good agent, then they should, with a little bit of time be able to get hold of any property you require.
However you may feel slightly put off from purchasing on the Palm Jumeirah with having to search out properties along with the higher costs of a home here. What then? Well if you still like the concept of living in a novel environment, then consider the two other Palm projects, the Palm Jebel Ali and the Palm Deira. Whilst the Palm Jumeirah has already accepted residents, you will have to wait a little while longer for the other two Palm projects, though it might just be worth it. The Palm Jebel Ali has the added bonus of luxury Water Homes and even more entertainment facilities, whilst the Palm Deira will have the option of commercial space as well as freehold property.
So whilst at first it may appear that your opportunity to buy into such a great project has passes, this does not mean it is the case. If you are flexible and don’t mind paying that bit extra, you too can live on the Palm Islands.
